Doorgan transforms a walk-through closet into a playable organ. Built for The Weybourne Project, a group exhibition staged inside a Toronto house slated for demolition, the work uses the closet doors as bellows, forcing air through repurposed accordion reeds as they are opened and closed. During the exhibition’s opening, the organ was incorporated into a performance with local musicians, forming a kind of funeral dirge for the departing building.
